- Purpose and commitment
This Code of Ethics states the principles and core values that will guide the conduct of the employees of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima (CCL). Our mission is to foster the integrity, respect and excellence in all our actions, contributing to the common welfare, and the trust of our members and the community.
- Ethical principles
- Integrity and honesty: We act with transparency and consistency, ensuring that our actions reflect the fundamental values of the CCL fulfilling our activities in a transparent manner. Honesty in all aspects of our work is the basis of our reputation.
- Fairness and respect: Treat all people, both inside and outside of the organization, with dignity and respect, ensuring equal opportunities and fair treatment for all, without discrimination of any kind.
- Confidentiality: We respect the confidentiality of the information that we obtain in the performance of our functions, using such information only for professional purposes and in accordance with legal and ethical standards set forth.
- Responsibility and professionalism: We comply with our responsibilities with the highest quality, efficiency and professionalism, adhering to internal policies and regulatory framework, contributing to the prestige of the CCL.
- Transparency in decision making: Our decisions are based on criteria that are clear, objective and well-researched, always looking for the collective benefit and avoiding any kind of conflict of interest.
- Regulatory compliance: We are committed to complying with the laws, rules and regulations, both internal and external, ensuring that our actions align with legal and ethical standards.
- Conflicts of interest
Employees must avoid situations where their personal interests could conflict with the interests of the CCL. In case of doubt or if there is a potential conflict, this must be reported to the superiors and compliance officer for its early resolution.
- Proper use of the resources of the CCL
Material resources, financial and human, of the CCL must be used exclusively for professional purposes and related to the activities of the institution. The misuse of these resources will be considered to be a fault in the work and disciplinary offence and will be subject to actions and penalties.
- Commitment to professional development
We encourage and support the ongoing professional development of our workforce, to promote the training, the learning and skills improvement, with the purpose of providing a service of the highest quality to our members and customers.
- Social and environmental responsibility
The CCL promotes practices of corporate social responsibility and respect for the environment, encouraging the adoption of measures that are conducive to both the community and the natural environment.
- Sanctions for non-compliance
The breach of this Code of Ethics may result in disciplinary sanctions, as provided for in the internal rules of the CCL, which may include corrective measures or, in severe cases, the dismissal of the worker.
- Acceptance and commitment
All employees of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima agree to read, understand and accept this Code of Ethics to join the institution, assuming the responsibility to comply with the principles and guidelines set forth herein.
This Code of Ethics reflects the fundamental principles that should guide the behavior of all the employees of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima, with the aim of preserving and strengthening the trust, integrity and reputation of our institution, to our affiliates, customers and the society in general.
